A safe space to reconnect with your balance

Compassionate psychosocial counseling for individuals, students and couples navigating life transitions, uncertainty or emotional challenges.

Psychosocial Counseling

Welcome, I am Ketya

I am a licensed Psychosocial Counselor practicing in English, French and Khmer. My multicultural path — born in Cambodia, a dual Belgian-Cambodian citizen, twenty years as an expatriate — has shaped a practice rich in multicultural sensitivity.

I have worked in international schools and private mental-health clinics, and I now support individuals from many backgrounds with confidence, empathy and cultural sensitivity.

How it works

A simple and supportive process, at your own pace.

  1. Get in touch

I warmly welcome you to reach out and book an initial session. This first contact is a gentle space to share what brings you to counseling and to sense whether our therapeutic relationship feels like a good fit.

  2. First session

The first session lasts 90 minutes — an unhurried time to get to know each other. We explore your background and what shapes your wellbeing, always at your own pace, and you sense whether my approach feels right for you.

  3. Your therapeutic journey

Ongoing sessions are 60 minutes, tailored around the themes most important to you. Together, we work toward deeper self-understanding, emotional resilience, and a more grounded sense of self — accompanied with warmth and respect.

What clients say

I came into this not entirely sure what I was looking for, only that something needed to shift. What I found, over the course of a year, was something I didn’t expect: a space that was both safe enough to be honest in, and challenging enough to actually grow. What sets Ketya apart isn’t warmth alone, though she has that in abundance. It’s the precision. She has a rare ability to sit with you in your experience without rushing to resolve it, while also gently, persistently holding up a mirror to the patterns you’d rather not see. That combination, of being truly heard and being genuinely challenged, is what made the work feel real. I won’t pretend the process was easy. But I can say, with full sincerity, that I am more self-aware, more steady, and more at peace with who I am than I was a year ago. Not because something was fixed, but because I was helped to see myself more clearly, and to carry that with more gentleness. If you’re considering this step, I’d simply say: the work lives inside you, but the right guide makes all the difference. For me, Ketya is that.

I highly recommend Ketya and wish her all the best as she begins her career as a therapist. She has been incredibly supportive, kind, and easy to talk to during the time she has been helping me. Her empathy and genuine care really make a difference, and I know she’ll be great in the path she has chosen.

Ab Be

I am so grateful for Ketya. She met me at a time where I knew I needed help, but I didn’t know why and what for. She listened to me and really understood what I was going through. In a time where mental health support can be often slow and expensive, she helped me in the complete opposite fashion. I really wish everybody could have the same experience that she provided for me. I am so very thankful for what she has done for me.

Jo Zi

First going to therapy was initially scary for me. I was anxious about what to say and what I would get to talk about, but after the first session with Ketya those fears were gone. No matter if I spoke clearly or could not keep a topic, Ketya always listened and I always felt understood. I felt like I was always able to discuss and share the most pressing matters regardless of if it was planned or not. There would be times, where we would make a plan for a next session but something else came up. we would discuss what was more important for me. Beyond feeling understood Ketya asked the important questions and help me ask the right questions as well, exploring topics felt natural as I was able to speak freely and she would give just the right amount of input to help me think deeper about the subject. I also appreciated that there was some humor at times it kept the mood light. I went from feeling anxious about therapy to feeling confident and sure that I would get the help and space I need with Ketya.

You may be wondering

The first session is a time for meeting, listening, and learning from each other. We discuss what brings you here, your expectations, and we define a framework that suits you. There is no pressure — you share what you wish, at your own pace. This first session lasts 90 minutes.

A session lasts 60 minutes. The frequency is adapted to your needs — we discuss this together during our first conversation.

Yes, absolutely. Confidentiality is at the heart of my practice. Everything shared in session remains strictly confidential, protected by professional secrecy and respect for your privacy.

As a psychosocial counselor, my sessions are a form of support rather than medical psychotherapy. They are not covered by Swiss basic or complementary health insurance. That said, some insurers — particularly international ones — may cover them, so I encourage you to check with your own provider. This independent setting also has its upside: no diagnosis or file is shared with an insurer, which fully protects your confidentiality.

Financial difficulty should not keep you from getting support. Please feel free to reach out in full confidence — together we'll find an arrangement.

I offer sessions in French, English and Khmer. You choose the language in which you feel most comfortable.
